How I got here

A short version, for clients who want to skip the bio.

Eight years working customer-facing engineering at a global infrastructure company taught me how complex systems break, and how the gap between what gets specified and what actually ships is where most projects stall. Outside work I tinkered, automating my homelab, writing in five languages, building small tools to scratch personal itches. Bytecraft Media is what happened once I realized the only thing standing between an idea and a working system was time and discipline, that the limit was my own thoughts. The studio is the answer to a different question, who else has ideas that aren't getting built?

The clients I want are the ones who have a clear thought and want it built without spending six months selecting an agency. Founders, small-business owners, marketing teams running multilingual brands, internal teams who can't get their tools prioritized by IT. Whatever the shape of the project, websites that need to look like they shipped on time, internal CRMs and dashboards your team will actually use, automations that run while you sleep, faceless media pipelines, multilingual content that reads like a local wrote it, the constraint is the same. The work has to ship and the result has to hold up six months later. The one thing I won't take on is design without engineering. A pretty Figma file that nobody can deploy is a problem I'm not interested in solving.

Agencies kill projects with handoff queues. Six weeks for the first deliverable, two more for the next, and by the time anyone writes code the brief is stale. A one-person studio doesn't have that problem because there's no one to hand off to, you talk to me, I do the work, you see the result. Boutique here means the client finds everything they're looking for in one place. Strategy, design, engineering, deployment, content, languages, all of it, the same brain across every layer. If a decision needs to be made it gets made in the same conversation, not bounced to three different stakeholders. That's the trade, smaller capacity, deeper ownership.
